Official Spring MAP Dates

We now have a finalized MAP schedule for the spring.  7th grade options will be testing on the following dates:

Wednesday June 8th: Math MAP with Ms. Schultz in the morning

Wednesday June 15th: Reading MAP with Ms. Foreman in the morning

Although June 15th might seem late in the year, the administration, Ms. Schultz and Ms. Foreman have planned ahead to make sure students will have ample time to complete the test.  The afternoon of June 15th and June 16th is exclusively set aside to ensure 7th grade will have time to finish if they are not able to finish within the 2 hour morning window.

Reminders for the Week of January 11, 2016

Congratulations to Janiya in her 2nd place victory during the spelling bee today and thanks to 317 for cheering her on!

Wednesday folders will be distributed with progress reports this Wednesday.  Just a reminder to ask to see the folder each Wednesday and have them returned to school on Thursday.

We have received the testing windows for PARCC and MAP for the spring assessment.  PARCC will take place March 28th-May 13th and MAP will take place May 16th-June 17th.  As testing is scheduled for each classroom, we will update you with dates and times to make sure you can plan ahead.  We have not heard about what assessments will be used for promotion and high school applications so opting out of PARCC will most likely not be an option.  Please feel free to email me or set up a conference if you have questions/concerns.

Also, just a reminder to return Springfield medical forms to Ms. Lewin (payment is due online by January 29th) and book fees.
